Aikido Yuishinkai was founded by Master
Koretoshi Maruyama to promote universal values and principles
of peace throughout the world. Students from all styles of
aikido are welcome to train with us as we are non-partisan
in our approach. Friendship with other dojos is encouraged
in keeping with the harmonious spirit of Aikido. Aikido Yuishinkai
is truly ‘Aikido
without boundaries’.
The Aloha Ki Aikido Centre (AKAC) welcomes Master and Founder
of Aikido Yuishinkai, Koretoshi Maruyama to Hawaii in July
2007, to celebrate his 50 years of Aikido teaching.
A former student of O’Sensei, Morihei
Ueshiba, founder of Aikido, and a professional instructor
international since 1967, Maruyama Sensei is widely respected
and admired throughout the world. Until his resignation as
Chief Instructor of the Ki Society International in 1991,
Maruyama Sensei taught Aikido students throughout Europe,
United States, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Canada.
Maruyama Sensei entered a temple in Saitama
Prefecture to undertake a 10-year period of intensive training
in the philosophy, concept, practice of “You Are Fundamentally Mind.” During
this period he founded Aikido Yuishinkai and has devoted his
life to communicating the teachings of “positive mind” through
Aikido training.
